Surrounded by militias, Sudanese fear endless cycle of war

Even in army controlled areas, paramilitary groups are openly active in Sudan, heavily armed and viewed as unstable allies. Residents fear these militias could eventually turn on each other or on the army and start a new cycle of violence.
