Russia offers Ukraine May 8-9 ceasefire amid WWII anniversary, but threatens major reprisals in same breath

President Putin has unilaterally declared a two-day truce amid commemorations of the end of World War II in Moscow. Ukraine's President Zelenskyy proposed his own truce starting a couple of days earlier.
